“This is my child's 2nd year at this school of choice and i have to say this was a mistake. The teachers are not encouraging nor is the principle.Thankfully, this is my child's last year and i would not recommend this school to anyone.”

“I am raising my grandchildren and they attend Black. It is a great school and has a very supportive staff and teachers. I give Black and A+.....The kids love it!!!”

“I feel that there is not enough interaction between student and teacher and way too much work is sent home. How many parents have l.5 to 2 hours to help with homework? I was put in this position numerous times. A Grandparent”

“Not happy with the teacher my son had this year. It's really not her personally, but the situation she was placed in. An 8th grade teacher was placed in an all day K room at the last minute. She was sent out on a regular basis for MLPP training. In addition to that she had life circumstances that took her out of the classroom, so with the two factors combined, she was gone way to much. And she did not relate well to the age group. My son has progressed, but missed a lot. The principal... I am not pleased with her either. I feel that she has no time or interest in listening to what the parents have to say. The latchkey program is also poorly run. I feel I made the wrong choice in choosing this school for our 'school of choice.'”

“We put two children through Black Elementary School and never had single problem with any of the teachers or staff. My kids loved their school.”
